Direct Intervention

The Paul & Lisa Program, Inc. is developing a Direct Intervention Program in Connecticut to better detect and prevent commercial sexual exploitation in Connecticut and to provide intervention services to individuals involved in commercial sexual exploitation. The Direct Intervention staff will work to reach individuals who are working on the streets and will empower these individuals to break away from the dangerous and unwanted lifestyle in which they are trapped. The Direct Intervention Program consists of Outreach, Case Management Services, and Forensic Services.

Outreach is conducted to provide community education, research, and services and to develop an evidence based instrument to measure outcomes and future needs of victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Outreach will offer safer and healthier alternatives to women and children on the streets of a particular community who are being or have been sexually exploited.

Case Management Services provides individuals with referrals to appropriate agencies and Forensic Services will be offered to individuals who are involved in the judicial system.
