| Funding of Organization
The organization’s direct
intervention and education programming is funded through the US
Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency
Prevention (OJJDP). The OJJDP provides national leadership, coordination,
and resources to prevent and respond to juvenile delinquency and
victimization. OJJDP supports states and communities in their efforts
to develop and implement effective and coordinated prevention and
intervention programs and to improve the juvenile justice system
so that it protects public safety, holds offenders accountable,
and provides treatment and rehabilitative services tailored to the
needs of juveniles and their families.
Through a contract with the State of Connecticut
Judicial Branch, the Paul & Lisa Program is in our sixth year
of administrating the Women’s Holistic Health Education Project
at Hartford and Waterbury Community Courts. The project is an alternative
sentencing program for commercially exploited women arrested on
prostitution charges in Hartford and Waterbury Connecticut.
