Prevention Education Presentation Summaries

Predator Awareness Presentations:
The material presented to such populations is age sensitive and includes age appropriate language. Prevention education consists of a lecture incorporating a Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation followed by group discussions. Educational material is dispersed at the end of the sessions to aid in prevention of future exploitation. Sessions range from 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the needs of a community or school. The Paul & Lisa Program, Inc. requires that a professional, trained in crisis intervention or counseling, be available during and after the presentation.

• Dating Violence – High & Middle School only
• Consent & Sexual Assault – High School only
• Risky Behaviors (alcohol & running away) that may lead to sexual exploitation
• Case Histories

*Online pornography is discussed more in-depth with high school students, including the emotional dangers of viewing such material. Also discussed are warning signs of dating abuse and the issue of consent and sexual assault.

After School Program/Summer Programs
• Sessions run for 1 hr. session, 1 day a week, for 6 weeks.
• Program looks at Internet/Street Safety, Communication, Self-Esteem and Anger & Stress Management

Peer Mentoring
• Teens are trained to teach peers about Internet & Street Safety
• One Time 2 hr. Training Session with continual advisory support

About Paul & Lisa
• Designed to educate the public on the Paul & Lisa Organization and the different programs run to meet the needs of the sexually exploited.
• 1 hr. in length followed by question & answer session

Prostitution & Sexual Exploitation
• Designed to challenge the myths of commercial sexual exploitation, specifically prostitution
• Presentation takes a hard look at the realities of commercial sexual exploitation
• Appropriate for College classes, social service agencies, and human service providers
